Content Proposals

Content Proposals now closed

Content Proposals for HAC 2026 are now closed. If you submitted a proposal, you should expect to hear from us in the coming weeks.

Given the continually shifting political and ecological climates, as well as feedback from 2023 attendees, we are curating the content more closely this time, and have chosen to centralize around the themes of "Crisis, Collapse, and Connection." We also plan to have FAR fewer workshops and much more time for free and facilitated discussions—connection!

Here are examples of topics that we are hoping to learn and talk about, as well as questions we want to dig into together. Let this guide your proposal making, and keep in mind that attendees already have base level knowledge. In other words, we are looking for 202 level content.

  • What to do if ICE enters your hospital

  • Anti-border / migrant solidarity

  • Lessons learned from disaster response

  • Giving care in the context of war + genocide

  • DIY queer and trans healthcare

  • Abortion care + access

  • Sustainability of action in a hyper-surveilled world

  • "Health" in relation to environmental collapse

  • What does it look like to “move beyond” mutual aid?

  • Are there existent / historical "healthcare" models independent of established systems?

  • Where do we go from here?

Again, our proposal submission deadline was March 15. The convergence is only as good as we make it, so we hope you sent us your most inspired ideas! We are so excited to see what y'all come up with this time.

Deadline March 15th, 2026
